My quest for that “higher education”.
I left Dresden High School to pursue my music career full time and took the home schooling route. For the most part, it’s working out pretty good. Driver’s Ed is not part of the curriculum. According to my mom, they haven’t made enough nerve pills for her to take that on. Numerous friends and family members have offered to teach me to drive but, I’m pretty busy during the day and they’re not available at night so, learning to drive is something I just haven’t gotten around to. The day for my video crept up and I still had never once tried to drive at all.
Early morning, December 11th, Marcel made his way to my hometown for the shoot. While Scott McMahon and I were pulling hair, makeup and wardrobe together, my mechanic, David Atnip was busy getting my truck ready to crank up for the very first time. When we pulled in at his shop, he was just finishing putting in my back glass with my logo etched in it. What followed was sheer pandemonium:
Disclaimer: NO ANIMALS OR PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO (not for lack of opportunity- just sheer luck)
* consider that my solution to stop and go was to mash both pedals until something happened
* understand that pull up and get out of the truck, to me, does not mean put it in park unless you tell me where park is and that I need to do that
All in all, it was a lot of fun. No blood was shed. And now, I can kinda drive, a little. Most kids don’t learn to drive with a camera crew and a stylist there. But, a girl’s gotta look good when she cleans out ditches, right?
Enjoy,
Stormy
